On the importance of horological heritage
“In a fast-changing world where we constantly strive for the next big developments, it is sometimes easy to be dismissive of past achievements and styles. However when it comes to watches, our shared heritage is not something to be overlooked or ignored; moreover I find it is something to be revered. It has provided the road map to where we are now and is inherently an important and substantial part of our identity.
Having collected watches for most of my life, I constantly find myself drawn to the classic designs of the past. There is something within these vintage watches that makes them truly timeless, a transcendent beauty that is worth so much more than the mere price of an antique. That is why I have been working closely with my design team to pay homage to the look and feel of these wondrous classic pieces, bringing to life features and designs that have been long out of production. By giving these watches a second birth in this brand new series, we hope to provide a unique opportunity for our clients to share in this inspirational heritage.”
